We are thrilled that you’re here and we want to thank you for your interest in becoming a charity partner of our organization.  On this page, we’ve got all the information that you need to know about what exactly that entails.  We’ll talk in more detail about some of the key benefits of being a charity partner, how to determine if your charity is a good fit, and also how to to apply.  We want to show you why this is an amazing opportunity that you simply don’t want to miss!

But first, let’s ask an important question.  What does it mean to become a charity partner of the Carolina Golf Organization?

Simply put, a charity partner is a charity or non-profit that works with us during our golf tournaments and receives a donation from our event proceeds.  You don’t need to know anything about running golf tournaments or even playing golf.  We’ll handle all of the event planning and organizing.  All you need to do is follow our lead, support our effort, and enjoy the process.

Why do we do this?

A vital part of our mission at the Carolina Golf Organization is to uplift great charities and great causes in our local community.  We love to give back!

We’ve also realized that our tournaments provide an incredible opportunity to bring people together.  Why not use that opportunity to also help those in need and to support our local heroes?

What Are the Benefits of Being a Charity Partner?

There are so many benefits to being a charity partner of the Carolina Golf Organization.  Take a look at list below to see just of few of them:

  • Receive a direct donation to your charity with a portion of the tournament proceeds
  • Speak at our awards ceremony to spread awareness of your cause and share ways for others to get involved

Will My Charity Be a Good Fit?

This part is completely up to you.  We are looking for charities who want to be a part of something great and are willing to work along side of our team to make our event successful.

Your main role will be to help us find interested sponsors and players.  We will provide all the flyers and marketing materials for the event.  That means all you need to do is help us tell other people!  This is critical to the overall success of our event.  On top of that, more sponsors and players means a larger donation for your charity!

Our second requirement is that your group knows how to have fun and can volunteer for the tournament.  You’ll be a special part of the day of our event and will help us create a memorable experience for everyone.  This also gives you a chance to build relationships with the players, which will last beyond the golf course.  Who knows what kind of connections you’ll make and how your charity will ultimately benefit!

Another one of our past charity partners, Camp F.L.I.G.H.T., receiving a donation check!  Camp F.L.I.G.H.T. works with youth in the Rock Hill area.  They mentor and tutor children through a variety of after school and summer programs.

What Types of Charities Do We Work With?

We are happy to work with all types of charities and non-profits!  In fact, we love it!

We do, however, have a few requirements.  One requirement is that your organization must be a registered 501(c)(3).  Another requirement is that your charity also must be based in North or South Carolina or you must at least have a home office here.  We ask that for two reasons.  First, we want to support charities in our home community.  Second, we need you to be accessible to be an active part of our event.

In addition to those basic qualifications, we want to work with people and organizations that are enthusiastic and motivated to work with us.  This makes everything more fun and helps to make our event a huge success.

How to Become a Charity Partner

We know what you’re probably thinking, “This all sounds great!  Where do I sign up?”  Well, that’s the easy part!  Just fill out our short Charity Partner form.  This gives you an opportunity to tell us a little about who you are, what you do, and how you impact the community.  Shortly after that, a member of our team will contact you to discuss the opportunity of working together.  We’ll talk with you and your team to see if you are a good fit for our mission and if we can support yours.  We also encourage you to tell us more about how our donation could impact your organization.

As of right now, each one of our events is limited to only one charity partner.  We do, however, usually have multiple events per year.  This means multiple opportunities for you to be a charity partner and for us to work together.
